Any Part A (Module 2) or Part B (Module 3) Course
Any additional Part A (Module 2) or Part B (Module 3) subject can also be completed to satisfy the requirements of Module 1, including:
Relevant PhDs
Relevant PhDs by thesis from recognised universities may be considered for Module 1. Relevant areas include:
- actuarial studies;
- statistics;
- economics; and
- finance or other finance-related disciplines.
Students will need to complete an Application for Recognition of PhD and include evidence of the qualification gained, a contact for verification, and a synopsis of their thesis. Applications will be assessed by the Institute’s Education Council Committee (ECC). ECC meetings are usually held in February, May, August and October.
Accountancy Qualifications
Certified Practicing Accountants (CPAs), as determined by CPA Australia; or Chartered Accountants (CAs) as determined by the Institute of Chartered Accountants; (or overseas equivalents) are recognised for Module 1. Students will need to complete an Application for Recognition of Accountancy Qualification and include evidence of the qualification gained and a contact from their professional association for verification.
CFA Charter Holder Qualification
Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter Holder qualifications are recognised for Module 1. Students will need to complete an Application for Recognition of CFA Charter Holder Qualification and include evidence of their qualification and a contact for verification.
UK SP1 Health and Care Examination
Students must also complete the online Private Health Insurance Course to satisfy the requirements for Part III Module 1.
