OVERVIEW
The 2019 CPD Tour, New Zealand is a not to be missed event as we bring you experts on governance, regulation and your professional duties. This tour has been designed to cater for all members working in traditional/non-traditional roles and management positions. It is our opportunity to learn from past events and strengthen our profession.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Actuaries Institute President Nicolette Rubinsztein will discuss the current state of the industry and the profession’s role, sharing her personal experiences.
- 2018 Actuary of the Year and author of the Social Risk Dialogue paper, Ian Laughlin will facilitate an interactive workshop on professionalism. He will draw upon case studies and share personal reflections.
- NZSA President John Smeed will share local insights and facilitate further case studies focusing on professionalism.
- Actuaries Institute CEO Elayne Grace will reflect on the Institute’s initiatives including the Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Scheme together and highlight how they can support you in your role.
The Tour is be combined with the Presidential Tour. Nicolette will deliver her Presidential Address and give delegates the opportunity to gain insight on the year ahead for the profession.

As the Institute incurs costs prior to the commencement of this event, no refunds will be available after Sunday 4 August. Substitutions must be received in writing by Monday 12 August. In the unlikely circumstance that this event is cancelled, delegates will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation.
