Annette King joined the Actuaries Institute board in 2018. She is an experienced actuary, company director, and previously CEO, with over 30 years’ experience in financial services across Asia-Pacific. 

Prior to becoming a non-executive director, Annette had a successful track record as a CEO, CFO and CMO of significant financial institutions, as well as being a founder/entrepreneur. Annette has served large multi-national companies (Swiss Re, AXA, Manulife, Mercer) and fintech companies (AFG, FNZ, Galileo Platforms).  Her focus is on business growth through differentiated client experience, organizational culture and innovation via digital and technology enablement.  In addition to responsibilities in Australia and New Zealand, Annette has lived and worked for 14 years in Asia.

She serves on the boards of Swiss Re, MLC Superannuation/NULIS, Australian Finance Group (ASX: AFG), U Ethical Investors, Galileo Platforms and the Actuaries Institute.  She was previously President of the Life Insurance Association of Singapore, served on the Singapore Actuarial Society and the Hong Kong Advisory Committee for the AICD.  

She is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and has a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University. She is a member of AICD’s APRA Forum and a member of Chief Executive Women.

Iris Lun

Iris Lun is Co-founder and Director of 10Life, an insurtech company based in Hong Kong focussed on bringing transparency to insurance consumers. Iris has 20 years of international experience in the insurance industry across Australasia and Europe. Prior to starting 10Life, Iris held various actuarial and business positions at global consulting and life insurance companies including Prudential, ING Group and Towers Watson, covering areas in pricing, valuation, product development, risk management and strategic business management. Iris is a Fellow of the Actuaries Institute Australia and the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong, and holds a combined Bachelor of Commerce (Actuarial Studies) and Arts (Japanese) degree from the University of Melbourne.


Andy Yang
FIAA


Andy Yang is a senior investment executive with over 30 years of experience who previously held regional leadership roles at asset management and insurance firms, including CIO positions. An actuary by training, he has worked in Hong Kong, Seoul, Taipei, Tokyo, Sydney, Kuala Lumpur and Wellington.

Kitty Chan
Liaison Manager, Asia, Actuaries Institute


Kitty Chan was appointed as the Liaison Manager, Asia in March 2017. She is based in Hong Kong at the Actuaries Joint Office. Kitty’s work focuses on the Institute's Asia-based members in Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Malaysia. She previously practised in General Insurance in Sydney and lived in Taipei and Singapore before relocating back to Hong Kong.
