20/20 all-actuaries virtual summit
Actuaries have always been evidence-based and ready to change their strategy when the facts change. So, the 2020 All-Actuaries Summit is going virtual. It may not be the Gold Coast, but you will be able to participate from the comfort of your home!
The Organising Committee and the HQ Team have done a stellar job making sure that we don’t lose any of our great thought-leadership and the full program for the Virtual Summit will be published in early June. What we can tell you now is that there will be plenary sessions each week focusing on the important issues facing Actuaries including distribution disruption, low interest rate economy, rebuilding trust, climate change, fairness for the individual customer vs fairness for all customers, data disruption and AI and, COVID-19. The theme through the consumer lens will inform these sessions and inspire challenging debate.
The concurrent program brings together leaders from all practice areas with specific and cross-practice discussions. You will be able to craft your program based on your interests and attend as many or as few sessions as you like. Superannuation, general insurance, life, health, wealth and investments, banking, risk and data analytics will be well catered to with focused sessions throughout the Virtual Summit.
All sessions can be streamed live (AEST Sydney) or viewed later at a time that suits you.
WHY YOU SHOULD REGISTER
While we grapple with the current uncertainty and disruption, the impact from the findings of the Hayne Royal Commission is still ahead of us. With more consumers and businesses finding themselves in vulnerable positions due to COVID-19 and the recent bushfires, it is vital that we harness our unique and diverse range of skills and work together, to overcome the current challenges and, help to shape future business decisions through the consumer lens.
We are a strong close-knit community and, although the networking will be different, it’s still great that we can come together virtually. We don’t need to travel, and the registration price represents excellent value, let’s take advantage of this and make it a record number of attendees!
- Support your profession and strengthen our reputation through cross-fertilisation of ideas.
- Broaden your perspective by creating your own customised virtual program and take the learning outcomes back to your workplace.
- Earn valuable CPD points (not easy to do in the current environment).
- The Member registration fee of $350 represents excellent value. There are also discounted registration rates for Members who have been adversely affected by COVID-19 and for younger Members.
