Each virtual session begins at 5:30pm on the respective dates below and every 15 minutes, the ‘rooms’ change, so you have the opportunity to meet new people.

She will share some of the insights from her career and invite you to share your most valuable insights from yours.
As an Actuary with 30 years’ experience, spanning both consulting and corporate, Hoa has witnessed and lived through many significant changes in the economy over this time, including the market crash of 1987, the HIH Royal Commission, the Insurance in superannuation debate, the divestment of insurance by banks, the rise of the Asian economies, the emergence of Data Analytics as a practice area, and of course the current pandemic.
Arriving in Australia as an immigrant at age 18, she has had to overcome the hurdles of language, being female and Asian in a traditional actuarial career.
How do you acknowledge and respond to change? What can we learn from our collective experience?
