Students are able to sit Part III examinations for Module 1 - 4 which are offered through
- the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK (ST 9 and ST 1 examinations for Module 1) and
- the Actuaries Institute (Module 2 – 4 examinations).

Examinations for Part III courses are held in approved exam centres in:
- Australia - Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth;
- Asia - Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur;
- New Zealand - Auckland, Wellington; and
- England - London.
Students who would like to organise an alternative exam centre should submit an Application for a Temporary Exam Centre at least eight weeks prior to the examination date. Students applying for an alternative exam centre may be required to pay a share of the costs involved in creating the temporary examination centre.
Students wishing to change their nominated exam centre must advise the Actuaries Institute at least one month before the examinations.
Before examinations, students will receive:
- Instructions for Candidates; and
- a permit letter, confirming exam centre and time.
Students must read the Instructions for Candidates before attending their examination. The permit letter and one form of photo identification, must be presented to the examination supervisor.
Semester 1 examination results are released in June and Semester 2 examination results are released in December of each year.
Students will be advised of their results. Students who have been unsuccessful in an examination will be sent indicative grades on their level of performance, question by question.
The Semester 2 2017 Part III Module 2 and 3 results will be published on Thursday 7 December 2017.
The Semester 2 2017 Part III Module 1 Specialist Technical results will be published on Friday 22 December 2017.
Exam Performance Interviews
Students who have been unsuccessful in an examination in the same subject more than once, may apply for an exam performance interview if they gained an overall C grade on their last attempt. The fee for an interview is AUD$80.00 plus GST. To request an interview please submit a Request for an Exam Performance Interview within four weeks of examination results being published.
