The Actuaries Institute is committed to developing and expanding talent within our industry. We are pleased to offer a Mentor Program to all members.

Whether you’re seeking a mentor, a way to give back to the profession as a mentor, or as a mentee who wants to take the next step in their career, participating in this program is a win-win scenario for all parties!


Objectives

Mentees: To gain new perspectives to advance their career and develop powerful professional connections.

Mentors: To enhance their practice of mentoring and participate in forums with their peers across the industry.


Participation criteria

Mentees: Members who currently work as Actuaries who want to develop their career, and have a minimum of 1-5 years professional experience.

Mentors: Members who have minimum of 10 years’ of professional experience.

January 2025: APPLICATIONS CLOSE

March 2025:
PROGRAM LAUNCH 

An event for mentees and mentors to learn more about the program and what they can expect during the year. Mentees and mentors gain insights into the matching process and hear from previous mentors and mentees. Most importantly, your match will be revealed.  

April 2025: ONE-TO-ONE MONTHLY MEETINGS 
 
Monthly meetings to commence. Mentees are responsible for taking the initiative to set the agenda and timing for the first meeting 

July 2025: MID PROGRAM CATCH-UP 
 
October 2025: PROGRAM CLOSE 

An opportunity to share learnings and celebrate successes. Mentees and Mentors will also be issued with their respective digital badges to showcase across all social platforms etc. at the conclusion of the program.
