Becoming a Member

The Actuaries Institute is the professional body representing actuaries in Australia and accepts applications for a range of membership categories.

New memberships, changes to membership and reinstatements are reported to CEO for approval bimonthly on the first Tuesday: February, April, June, August, October, December.

2020-21 Membership Subscription now overdue.

This year Council have agreed to extend the default date from 1 December to Monday 14 December.

If you intend to continue your membership with the Actuaries Institute, you need to pay your subscription fee by this date.

If your membership is defaulted on 14 December and you wish to reactivate it in the future you will need to pay a reinstatement fee of AUD$360.

The Institute has a provision for discounted membership fees if your total remuneration including superannuation and bonus) for the year 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021 is expected to be $75,000 or lower.
